An introduction to Blackjack |
|
The basic premise of the game of Blackjack is that you want to have a hand value that is closer to 21 than
that of the dealer, without going over 21.
There can be up to 5 players sitting in a Blackjack table. Other players
sitting at the table are of no concern. Your hand is strictly played out against the hand of the dealer.
The rules of play for the dealer are strictly dictated, leaving no decisions up to the dealer.
Therefore, there is not a problem with the dealer or any of the other players at the table seeing the cards in your hand.
Indeed, if you're playing at a shoe game, the player cards are all dealt face up. In any event,
when you're just learning to play, don't hesitate to show the dealer or other players your cards and ask questions. The gambling onlinegoal of the player in the game of blackjack
is to beat the dealer without getting busted i.e. not going above the value of

has to decide upon the best option to choose which depends on the total of his
two cards and the dealer's card. The options that he gets are termed as stand,
hit, split and double. The stand option means that the player will stand on his
current value. Hit means that the player draws one more card from the blackjack
stack of cards. Split option is available if the value of two cards is exactly
same such as 2 jacks or 2 5's. This will split the game into two separate
games and he gets one more card in each of his game. Then again he gets the
option of hit or stand for his two blackjack games. The option of double will
make the original bet into 2 times and draws one more card. The player cannot
draw more cards after the one double up card. This option is suitable when the
